Bushing install on primary cover

Bushing install on primary cover
There is a little hole on theinside of the outer primary cover where the starter shaft goes into when you hit the starter. Inside this hole is a bushing (little brass looking ring). I just got an outer primary that needs this ring installed and want to know how it's held in. I'm thinking JB Weld. Not that it matters but the cover is for a '89 softail.[/align]

RE: Bushing install on primary cover
i used a tennis ball, a kiwi, and a socket wrench to..........oops that was something else. I used a big soft pillow a piece of wood and a mallet and got mine in; in about 3 mins. You do not have to jb weld anything once that thing is in its not going anywhere. Good luck with the install
