I have a question, i bought a wrecked 98 ultra to useEvo engine and trans for a boyce fxr i am building .The inner primary was destroyed, i don't need the shifter lug(boyce has forward controls) so will adyna inner primarybolt up with ultra trans and starter?
what year castings will fit ?

the smashed primary is a 60677-94a casting number will a 60677-98A work in its place?

The part number for that casting is 60432-94.....the next valid pn# is 60432-01. That would lead me to believe that 94-00 models use the same inner primary.

 

I don't know about that dawg - the FLH's have a different primary for 99 & 00. My 99 RK is a pain in the *** to find an innerprimay for due to that reason. It could be due to frame design & mounting tolerances - but I'm not sure.

In theory, you should be able to use any primary that fits the EVO motor & same transmission - BUT - it may also require getting teh primary chain that matches the model you pulled it from.

Did the primary fit? I'm putting a 94 evo on my 92 FLH and I'm not sure what inner primary to use. Looking to put a chrome one on.

 

If you have a 92 FL, use a primary for a 92 FL if you can find one.

It doesn`t matter what year Evo engine you use, they are all the same as far as the connection to the primary.

Make sure the primary is compatible with the starter configuration you have.
