Default Primary Sprocket Alignment

Checked the sprocket alignment before removing any primary drive components, the difference between the two measurements at each sprocket are 0.069 in (1.76 mm) indicating that the compensator sprocket is spaced too much (outboard), and in need of a thinner spacer. I then removed the components to reveal that the Hex spacer refered to in the factory manual (usually located between the shaft extension and the rotor) is missing. Being as this is the only way described in the manual of adjusting the alignment, how do I align the sprockets now?
