new guy here-i changed the trans fluid on my 94 lowrider and noticed it looked blackish-are the gears wearing out? ok-more info-a friend changed the drive pulley and the trans main seal and quad seal--after i rode it an hour,it started to leak trans fluid from behind the primary-not engine oil--maybe the seal was put in wrong?im just worried about the color of the fluid coming out---THANKS--NO REPLYS--NOW I KNOW WHY I DONT BOTHER TO JOIN THIS KIND OF ----

 

Easy paco, When your friend replaced the seals did he lube around the ID and OD of the mainseal before installing.. It is also a good idea to put some assembly lube on the OD of the spacer as well. If not it is possible that one of the lips of the seal are folded inward. Also you may want to change the pulley spacer it may be grooved to deep to seal.
