I have a 08 FLSTC and drained the oil from the primary.&nbsp\\; I went to remove the primary cover and the first bolt came loose fairly easy.&nbsp\\; I broke the torx bit when trying to remove the second one.&nbsp\\; Had it replaced thanks to SEARS but now I can not get the other 4 bolts out.&nbsp\\; The heads are starting to strip.&nbsp\\; These things are on way to tight.&nbsp\\; Any ideas how to get this off so I can get oil back into the primary and ride this weekend?

 

Use an impact driver or put a blunt punch on the screw head and strike it with a hammer two or three times.

 

Be sure you are using a T27 torx, most kits come with a t25 and skip to t30. If you are using a t27 and it still strips you may have to use ez outs.

 

If they strip carefully drill the heads off , remove cover, remove studs with pliers. Replace with #20 coarse thread 3/4" long allen head SS screws from true value for $2
