Clutch Removal
I ran into a roadblock removing my clutch. I've got a 2002 Roadking. I've read the manual and from reading it is seam like after you remove the 1 3/16 nut off the clutch and the 1 1/2 nut off the compensating sprocket the clutch and sprocket just slides right off. My clutch is stuck on there.
Do I use a gear puller on it or a harmonic balancer puller to get that clutch free?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

Not a mechanic
Just for what its worth, I am no wrench. I really enjoy reading these posts and learning. I just went full circle on my clutch pack. The old RK (1994) wasn't shifting right the clutch was sticking giving me clutch drag and i couldn't find neutral. I first thought it was a clutch pack issue, took into harley for inspection and CP was fine. So I put it back together and focused on the transmission, after reading all the posts about broken shifter pawls, detent springs etc, i think i finally found the problem....NOTHING. I think my entire problems was a serious of bonehead adjustments that caused everthing to get way out of whack. Finally I spent a couple of hours yesterday going over all the adjustments and last NIGHT I GOT BACK ON THE ROAD shifted thtough all the gears went into neutral NO PROBLEMS. I DIDNT HAVE TO PAY FOR AN EXPERT TO FIX IT, it took me a very long time (and many cold beverages) but I got it and think i even learned something in the process.

The `89 clutch hub fits onto a tapered shaft, no splines. Do you have the correct puller to remove the clutch hub? You did remove the compensator nut right?
