My 02 FLHTCUI has what I think is an occational clutch chatter. I have pulled it apart and everything is within tolerance. I noticed when I am in 4th gear that there is no free play on the clutch lever and 5th gear has about a 1/4" of play. The free play varies as I am accelerating or coasting. Is there something there I should be concerned about?

I'd say so, my guess is one of the shaft nuts or bearings on the trap door is about to check out?
