Default Questions on removing clutch hub nut

Hi y'all. A couple of quick questions for you, please, about removing the clutch hub nut on a '09 Street Bob. Thanks in advance for advice and input.

1- What's the size of that nut?

2- Could I just have someone apply the rear brake really hard to lock everything in place while I'm initially loosening that nut?

3- Thoughts about using an impact wrench to remove that nut?

4- Has anyone actually bought that primary drive locking tool? Was it worth it?

5- Any other tips? (I realize it's left-hand threaded)

1- What's the size of that nut? 1 3/16

2- Could I just have someone apply the rear brake really hard to lock everything in place while I'm initially loosening that nut? Nope, gonna need to lock the sprockets

3- Thoughts about using an impact wrench to remove that nut? Don't use an impact on the compensator, some have done it on the clutch. Best to use a breaker bar

4- Has anyone actually bought that primary drive locking tool? Was it worth it? I'm sure someone has. I just use a simple old piece of flat bar....works great and is cheap

5- Any other tips? (I realize it's left-hand threaded) Use a hollow piece of pipe or a handle from a floor jack and slip it over the handle of the breaker bar and it will loosen the nut like butter

Hey question on the flat bar, where exactly do you put it to lock everything up? Do you put in between the Splines?

Like the picture above shows, put the bar between the teeth of the ring gear and the comp. If you are making your own, take a grinder and round the corners. It will make it slide in and out easier.

I made a locking tool, out of 1/4” by 1.5” oak, and it worked great without damaging any teeth.

Whatever you do, don't wedge anything against the case.

Be sure to remove tensioner. I lock up chain with sprocket with a hard delrin step block. Use a 3/4 impact. No problem. Just don't strike O D of alternator rotor. The lest tap that maked it out of round will pop the expoxy glue holding the magnets loose.
Be sure to get all loctite off. Clean up. Use proper loctite primer and permeant grade loctite when going back together. Tighten to proper torque. No shortcuts or pay someone to do it.
This job takes proper tools, experience and chemicals to do it correct.
