Default 1983 IronHead XL1000 Cam Cover

I have to replace my cam cover on my 83 Sporty. Problem is, they're around $300 and the only way to get one (new) is aftermarket. So I find one off of an 84 XL1000 on Craigslist for $75 and from what I've been told the '81 - '85 models the covers are interchangeable. When I go to pick it up and we look at the the two covers, everything is the same EXCEPT for the cam seating (I really don't know what you call it, where the bushing goes) the second one from the front of the motorcycle (if it was installed on the bike). sits up 1 1/2 inches, but mine only sits 3/4's of an inch from the bottom of the cover. EVERYTHING else is the exact same, same bolt patterns, same oil lines, etc. If any one knows anything about this, I'd really appreciate it. I've attached a picture for better reference. It's the 2nd bushing from the left. Thanks!

I've learned a little more since I've posted this. The stamping on my cam cover is 25222-81 which from what I can find off of Google came off of a 1983 XLX. The part # for the one in the picture is 25222-84A. Thanks in advance

Cool Thanks Everyone, I figured it out.

The cover I was looking at is for an EVO sporty which explains the increased deck height of the one cam. I want to say thank you to everyone who looked at my ad.
