Just changed the primary fluid on my 1998 softail custom. When I took the derby cover off, there was a O ring with a silicon type sealant around it. I was given a gasket to replace the O ring at the local harley dealer. I put the derby cover back on and it leaks fluid from the bottom of the derby cover. I have taken the derby cover off a few times and inspected the gasket for any bends or defects. I can't find anything wrong with it, it is still flat. Going nuts here trying to figure out why the gasket is not working and should I go back to the O ring and the sealant?
