Default 1987 electra glide dry enclosed primary questions

I picked up a 1987 electra glide, It has an aftermarket enclosed belt drive ,dry clutch. I took it for the first ride today and the clutch was slipping pretty good. I took the outer primary off and the clutch disks out and they are shot.. My problem is there are no markings on anything to identify who makes this belt drive. It looks very very similar to the primo brute III but not exactly.. Any ideas of other makes of these things? or would clutch packs from other manufactures fit? Kodi

Welcome to HDF from the UK. It will help if you post a few pics, so we can see if we can recognise it. It is most likely the clutch plates are stock size, so any brand for your model year will probably fit. Take a look at on-line catalogues and compare them.

I just looked at the on-line Custom Chrome catalogue and they do kevlar clutch plate kits for belt drives that look the same as yours. I don't suggest they are the best place to get one, but it seems there is choice out there!

I just looked on custom chrome at the clutches you were talkng about. It seems it asks if its a BDL or Primo , The BDL looks the closest. Should i just order on and see if its the right one? kinda seems each manufacturer has different style teeth on the disks?

It is probably worth doing some more research on those two brands to see if you can identify yours, they both have their own websites. It might be an easy thing to tell which one you have, with the right information.
