Need help with Buell S1 starter ring
Hey all. My issue is that my '98 S1 Lightning is having starter problems. I have the enginge built and it turns over pretty hard. I pulled the primary off and the starter shaft comes all the way out but the teeth on the starter ring are chipped and broken in several places. Now my questions....
Can I replace just the starter ring? If I replace it how do I keep it from happening again? What would cause the starter to not be engaging correctly? Any help or guidance on this would be appreciated.
