Default Diaphram Spring Pressure?

Hello,

I have my primary apart on my 2007 Ultra Classic Screaming Eagle to do some housekeeping work.

While under the cover I was interested in installing the SE clutch spring. I have tried to find out the pressure on my stock spring just to make sure I wasn't going lighter on spring pressure. I thought the SE spring would be stronger. Some folks on the forums say that the CVO bikes already have the SE spring, but I don't believe so.

Anyway I purchased the SE spring and placed them side by side. The spring thickness appears the same. I have not verified that with a micrometer as of yet. What I did notice is that there is a lot less spring material present. Note how much furher the spring notches are cut away between the fingers of the spring. The SE spring is on top of the stock spring in the photo. Stock spring has the pink square and white dot.

I know this is not a valid method for testing, but when placed on a table and depressing a finger or two on the clutch springs the SE springs appears much weaker than my stock spring.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I'm sure you've seen this table before and it probably does nothing to help answer your question, but thought I'd throw it out there.
