Adjustment screw not 'seating'
Hi all,
88 sporty, 1200.
My clutch was slipping real bad, even adjusting as much as possible no change, fluid level fine, so I pulled it apart to do the plates.
Upon inspection the plates etc all seemed fine, little dry but not too bad.
So put it back together.
Now the problem.....Winding the adjuster screw out and it won't 'seat', just keeps spinning............and spinning............and spinning!!
I'm guessing the threads buggered on either the screw or lock nut, but before it was assembled the threads done up fine.
It's like the lock nut doesn't go far enough into the ramp seat???
Whilst it's set up like this the clutch is disengaged and i cannot pull the clutch lever in, at all.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers Muza
