hey guys, i have a 08 night train and the last few times ive rode it, ive been in 2nd gear on the brakes and a big clunk sound happens almost as if a missed a shift. also when i shift from N to 1st it clunks very hard and it sounds like the chain is grinding on the front gear. almost as if its partally engaged. could it be the chain needs adjusting or clutch? it has almost 13k miles

 

Either your auto primary chain adjuster isnt doing its job or your compensator is worn out.

 

Or both
