2006 Fatboy hydraulic clutch
I'm a bit confused as to how the hydraulic clutch works. Mine is difficult to engage through the gears. Do i put Dot 5 in the tranmission as well as the master cylinder? i have Syn3 in the tranny now but now that i see the hydraulic line going into it i'm thinking it needs Dot 5 as well?

Your bike requires DOT 4. DOT 4 is for Softtail models 2006 and up. Pre 2006 models require DOT 5. See link for fluid removal/replacement:http://www.instructables.com/id/Moto...-fluid-change/

How many miles are on the clutch. The SE hydro clutch is non adjustable so if your plates are worn you may just have to replace them. Oh yeah, not to start a **** storm, which I'm sure it will, get that syn 3 out of your trans it's motor oil not trans fluid and I don't care what Harley says. My 2 cents.
