I switched from HD primary and HD tranny fluid to Redline primary and Redline transmission fluids and now there is no clunk going into first gear. Shifting throughout the gear range has also become smoother.
In my hog I use 75/140 amsoil gear lube . This oil work the best in my bike . Before I used amsoil , I had a hard time finding neutral and the tranny clunked .

Been using Redline for years. Recently switched to the HaydenM6 Adjusterand instead of Redline MTL I used the MT-85 (MSDS says it'sslightly thicker,more viscosity) and another BIG Change. Now my local Dealer is selling Redline.
