6 speed Ultima install
Hello,
I have a 95 fatboy. I bought the Ultima 6 speed complete trans for it. I read through the service manual and it say's I need to remove the belt going to the real wheel. That involves removing the rear tire and swing are. Is it possibly to just loosen the rear tire and just move it forward to get the belt off the trans gear? Today I'm removing the clutch and the primary chain, and primary case. Maybe then I'll see why they say the wheel and swing arm need to come off but I'm hoping that is not the case.

Thanks all for the replies. This has been a tough job. I really have the bike taken apart now. Trans is almost out minus 1 bolt. I took pics and bagged and labeled bolts but I still hope I can get it back together. Hopefully the new trans is good and I'm sure it will be worth it to have that 6th gear. The bike really needs it.
