Overdrive options

Overdrive options
I reviewed some options, probably going to do one of the following:
34 tooth front gear
or
65 or 66 tooth rear gear
Just looking for input on which would be better overall. I know if I do the 34 tooth, I will take it to a shop. If I decide to do the rear pulley, I may do it myself.
Then again, I'm thinking it might be better to go with the 34 tooth, so I can take it to a shop and they can install a new belt. I may not need one, but new is usually better, right? Maybe I should have them put in a new clutch too?
Planning on doing some longer tour rides this summer, hopefully, Sturgis.
Any input is greatly appreciated!

Just remember the rpm reduction you gain on the highway you will also loose on the low end, taking off from a stop and such. It equates to about 3% per tooth when changing tooth counts on the transmission and a little more on the rear pulley. here is a link to our gear ratio calculator it should help you out in making your decision.
