Default SE 37951-98 HD clutch spring

Howdy all,

Have ordered the above spring to help fix clutch slippage after cams and big bore to my bike, I'm assuming (hoping) it comes with install instructions, meanwhile I'm just looking through my workshop manual wondering where exactly it fits in with the existing clutch components?

I guess it just replaces the stock diaphragm spring. I thought it might have been used in conjunction with it.

Correct; lever pull is going to get harder and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't solve the problem long term. An AIM VPC clutch will solve the slipping problem and will reduce lever pull by about 25%.

You can also install the H-D "easy pull" ramp. You didn't say what year but if an early model with the older cables that don't have the teflon lining, upgrading to a later cable will help with the pull as well.

Cheers, yes heard its going to be harder but the post '06 bikes have a very light pull standard so my 08 shouldn't be too bad. The VPC would probably be next on the shopping list agreed.
