Does anyone know what the size and thread pitch is of the heims joints on the shift linkage? Mine is rattling at idle, and the stock joints are known for failing when you are miles from home

 

this is a link for some with size and stuff.
Note that there all kinds of versions and prices so it depends on you.
Nylon, no nylon, lube tip,basic, chrome, super heavy duty etc.
These are just basic ones that i ordered for my bike and used with a stock rod.
The bolts may need to be cut if they are too long for your application.
Nothing on them is chrome.

If I would reach down and push against the shift linkage the rattling would stop. Took a closer look today. Pinch bolt for shift lever has loosened off a bit and lever had some freeplay on the splines. Tightened her up, good to go.
