BDL belt drive

BDL belt drive
Any body got ideas?
Got a bdl belt drive, been fitted about three year,s. since fitting have always had a slight oil leak when on the side stand. Done all the usual, changed the gearbox seals, including the quad seal and spacer.
Put the bike on the stand and lean it over with all the primary stripped out and the leak is coming up the main gear shaft between the main drive gear. There is no seal or o ring there,(could it have always been missing). Or is the replacement motor plate from bdl supposed to have a seal in it.
When it is built up the oil just runs down the motor plate between the gearbox. So what's supposed to stop the oil?. I can't see any seals on the manuals or the parts list, that fit in between.
Is this a bdl problem or was it always a problem. Bike is a 1992 FXRS 5 speed. Any help would be appreciated.
