Default screaming eagle Big twin compensator

Has anyone had problems with harleys' screamin eagle big twin compensator. Installed mine a couple months ago and began to hear a loud tick. I removed the primary cover and noticed my primary chain was as tight as a banjo sting. I replaced the auto chain adjuster out with a Baker attitude adjuster, made the proper adjustment 5/8 cold on the tightest part of the chain and put the cover back on. Made a big difference on how the bike rolls and shifts, but still has a little ticking noise unless i'm on the throttle. I just wonder if I may have damaged the bearing with the tight primary chain, or if they all tick a little. Has anyone installed one, and if so does it make a little more noise than the original stock compensator. Also I would say to anyone thinking of going with the baker attitude adjuster, do it. A little pricey, but when you see it you will understand why it cost's $200.00.
