primary leak and squeal

hello my 88 flhtc primary is leaking from behind and when im riding its squealing sounds like its coming from the primary also any info would be cool I plan on fixing it myself this is my 1st time in this forum thank you

Are you sure it is leaking from the primary? A transmission leak can also cause lube to run down the back of the inner primary cover.

How many miles on the bike?

Have the belts/pulleys ever been changed?
