Hi all. Second post here. After riding a 82 honda 500 i finally made the leap and bought a 76 hd flh shovelhead bobber project. Here are some questions id love some help on
1: i want to replace stock primary with open belt drive primary. I do not like the ones with the complete cover
2: i also want to replace original transmission with a higher gear (5 or 6) with a kicker

Question, where would i go for compatible bolt in parts for the primary and tranny.? The motor is original to the frame and has been hardtailed already.

thank you, now to find a primary to match. Maybe i could find a company that carries the complete package

 

We have a primary just not an open belt drive. BDL may have a belt drive for you.

 

Definately going with the 6 into 4. A few of my friends have recommended it. I will def check out bdl. Thanks for the advice!
