Building a 4 speed ratchet. Have New Altima case with loose roller bearing race for left mainshaft. Inners are from a late 77 earley 78 I do believe with the one piece bearing which pressed directly into the alluminum trans case.What do I need to get to run the loose bearings with my gear set in this case? Seems from the book the gear is different from the loose to casted bearings? Would love to run the one piece bearing just because I already have the new bearing an spacer an seal but having trouble locating a race to adapt my bearing.

you need to use the correct names for the different pieces in the unit / you have talked about the main shaft and the counter shaft at the same time

but i believe what you need is the later races in the early case for the counter shaft , and you will need the late stay for it // the counter shaft on the right side as well -- the main shaft bearing retainer is different, you need the late one thats what will hold the late counter shaft in the early case - i can do it again if you need more help - johnjzjz
