Default Sportster Front Pulley Stripping

Hey
Got a 2006 1200 Roadster that is eating up front pulleys. Replaced the pulley last Sep, when I got it off the inner splines were stripped, looked like a mill had been taken to it. Replaced it with OEM pulley. Wednesday morning riding to work and it happened again, took off at the light and Bike started whining/grinding noise, wouldn't go for nothing, I worked the gears no problem, so I'm fairly confident its the pulley again. Going to check it out tomorrow evening. First, checking if anyone has experienced something similar, second anyone got any ideas or advice as to what might be causing the pulley to strip like this?

The Bike has a Stage 1 and 2 kit fitted for what's it worth, but shouldn't make a difference
Any info is appreciated.

Cheers

It isn't easy to answer your question as to why that is happening. But before you install a new pulley, make sure the trans shaft is not worn or damaged. If it is there is no point putting yet another pulley on!

Thanks, eyeballed the shaft for damage for anything unusual last time, looked alright. Got another issue now, cant get the freaking nut off the shaft. Pully splines are stripped, shaft rotates. Going to heat it up and see if that breaks the seal. Thanks for the reply

Put the bike into top gear and also get someone to apply the rear brake, while you attack the nut.
