Default Removed the Primary, put it back together...annd problems

Hey Guys,
Looking for some help. I took the primary off to switch out a stripped shift lever. Now the Bike is hard to push around when the clutch is in (pushes fine in neutral.

Could it be something as simple as a clutch adjustment, or do you think I might have tightened down the compensator, or clutch pack too much (admittedly I didn't have a socket for the compensator nut (1.5 inch I believe) so we just tightened it down with a huge open end wrench instead of giving it the proper 150 ft/lbs)

Thanks!!
Justin

A wet type clutch will always have some drag, even when properly adjusted.

You saved some cash doing the job yourself, but don`t cut corners by being a cheapskate. Spend a few bucks on the proper tool to torque the compensator nut.

If it's harder to push around now than before you took it apart, recheck your clutch adjustment.

I don't think its anything more than that.

Clutch adjustment. Be sure when you turn in to zero clearance at the clutch, work the lever and turn in a full turn further to deburr thread from locknut, then back off to zero working clutch lever and center bolt. After a few times, you will since and fill zero clearance. Now do you 1/2-3/4 turn clearance setting. Its real easy to get too much free play and not have enough lever travel to break clutch discs. However, without engine running, clutch is going to drag if you start in gear or push it.
