Default need help finding a clutch cable and lever

Hey everyone. I recently bought my dad's '72 hard tail shovel head bild that we put together years ago and have rebuilt numerous times. My dad ran it with a foot clutch and jockey shifter since we originally put it together.

I live in an area with too much traffic and have had a terrible time trying to ride in traffic and just dealing with being cutoff, stop and go, etc.

I am trying to convert it back to a hand clutch setup. The bike has a ratchet top tranny that I couldn't tell you what year it came from. I already fabricated a shifter rod assembly and have the proper dust cover setup for a foot shifter. I purchased a mousetrap eliminator as well so now I just need to get the right cable and lever for it.

I bought a cable and lever already and it is just all wrong. i didn't realize there were so many different style. i accidentally bought a cable that looks like it is for a sportster. It has a big circle on the clutch lever end, but the end that should attach to the tranny is not long enough. Sine they is a custom bike with no real year associated with it no one can tell me what cable and lever I need. Can someone point me in the right direction?

We used to make our own cables..
shops had wire/housing, housing ends/solder on wire ends.

Look for a "custom bike shop"
Maybe some of them still make cables ?
