Default Bike shivers when taking off

Just bought 2012 Ultra. Riding 2 up, bike has a shiver to it when I take off. I can give it more throttle and it does not do it. Just wondering if this is just not being used to the clutch or is something wrong? Thanks for the help!

I would sure adjust clutch or get it checked. If incorrect and slipping, it will burn it up. These clutches are tough as nails but say it is slipping a turn ever few feet, it's toast. Normally they lock up very quick. If say you get up to staeady 40 in an upper gear and in a safe place, can you throttle up fairly hard and make the tack flair up without bike surging forward? Also check your tire pressure.

I haven't noticed it slipping at any other speed, but I will certainly try the test at 40 to be sure. Thanks!

Briefly the comp is a three finger part on the end of the engine driving a three slotted part the the front sprocket is hooked to. It has cup shaped springs. ( bellville ) As the drive pushes on it, it runs up a ramp squashing the springs as a cushion. It main function is to smooth then impulses of the v-twin motor. Its mainly for comfort but does produce a little protection for the drive train. However to really protect the drive is the cush drive on your rear sprocket. Neither can slip more then 20-30 degrees of rotation and never 360. If the comp was broken, it would clatter fairly loud. Yours is a newer version of mine pictured

My 2012 triglide is doing something similar. Does it after it gets hot. I have to play with the clutch when I start out. Can't remember how long it has been doing this.

Could it be related to running Syn3 in the clutch?

RIPSAW- Thanks for the explanation- That will allow me to ask questions if I have to take it to the MoCo.
