Default should never have ordered from Debrix. Help please!

Ordered a chrome inner primary from Debrix. Should have known there was a reason it was so much cheaper there than everywhere else.

First problem was the starter jackshaft seal area was machine too large. I had to go order a custom seal from a local industrial supply.

Everything else was preinstalled before it arrived.

I install the inner cover, install my clutch and compensator, chain, etc. Then I install the starter and find another problem....

What. The. F*CK!?

Bike is a 2003 Dyna. Near as I can tell they machined this are for an evo maybe?

What are my options at this point? Would an evo coupler have the correct OD and still fit my jackshaft? Do they make a thicker bushing? I can get one machined (I work at a machine shop) if need be, but I'd rather pick something up off the shelf than have our guys do another "government job" for me.

The stock coupler is 1.375" OD, and the bushing that came in the primary is 1.5" ID.

I didn't get into all the dirty details, but this is the second cover I got from them. The first was a bare cover, so I bought my own bearing, seals, etc. Pressed in the bearing, then found out about the seal issue.

Went rounds with them for weeks, finally having to file a paypal complaint to get them to do anything. At that point they sent me the cover with all the parts pre-installed and let me keep the other one.

So at this point, returning it really isn't an option.

it's still an option, maybe not one you want to go through again. For me, if it starts out wrong, it will end up wrong. Get the real part

Solution? Since there are no "crossover" bushings available, I designed my own, machined it out of oiled bronze, made an installer tool and buttoned her back up. Should work like a charm

first one I got had some thin chrome inside the housing where it wouldn't matter much anyway. You could see the copper pretty easily. Outside looked ok.

Second one looked a lot better.

I did find out they didn't send dowel pins though, and the holes are larger than stock (I pulled the stock alignment dowels and they were way too small in diameter)
