Chewing nails
I hav a 79 fxs Lowrider and my problem is I put a new complete clutch, throw out bearing, pushrod, adjusting screw basically everything new on primary side!!! Adjusted the clutch to specs and everything is perfect!!! But the adjustment screw and pushrod are eating each other and can't figure out the life of me why? Not poppin the clutch, fluid is full, oil seal is new, primary oil is perfect, main shaft isn't bent and clutch hub is seated!!!! WTF!!! If anybody has the answer please giv me a shout!!!

Make sure the adjustment at the clutch has some slack.( back the adjuster crew off about a half turn after contacting the center rod) and also about an 1/8 inch of the slack in the cable at the clutch lever. Here is something else you may want to look into. I got this off a European website but they are here in the states I believe you can get this Ram jet retainer from J & P Cycles.
