Default starting problem

so I got my shovel all put together nowand the starter is screwing up I have a new solenoid and did the test from the manual to make sure it was good everything in place and wired correctly when you hit the start button it will engage the starter but then it disengages before it will turn the motor a full turn checked voltage drop and there is none I have 12.6 v at the little wire on solenoid and at the starter is 12.6 v while holding the button new battery with a slow charge it just won't stay engaged what are my possibilities

Is the drive unit actually backing out of the ring gear?

Or are you assuming this because you can hear the starter spinning but the engine does not crank?

yes it does actually engage because it turns the motor about a half turn then it popes out

When the starter disengages, does the starter motor keep spinning?
