Dropped a screw into Transmission... uh oh
Don't yell at me guys, I did a search first and I did find similar threads, but my question is a bit more specific.
The story is that we've dropped a screw into the transmission of our 2014 Street Glide S. We know that it's in there because we watched it actually fall in there (the top cover was off) but we can't fish it out no matter what. We've tried all kinds of tools, magnets, grabbers... nothing's worked. Transmission is wet, so a vacuum won't work.
We do all our own wrenching but we've never tackled a transmission before. Can anybody tell me the easiest way to get into it to fish the screw out? We will go buy the appropriate manuals and figure it out from there, but just looking for someone to say: "remove the XYZ" so we can educate ourselves and do it. Any help would be awesome. Should we try to move the bike? Move it side to side or will that make it worse?
Having a downed bike when the weather is beautiful is truly awful. Thanks in advance!

You can try this:

Use a small dental mirror to look for it.

GOOD NEWS! We finally fished it out. Taking a two hour break from it to cool off seemed to help. Dan89FLSTC, we were installing a wrinkle black powder coated cover. Thanks for the response; we were thinking of disassembly as a last resort, but after trying for several hours to get the screw out, we were starting to think it would be the only way. Thanks though!
