I have a 2001 Deuce that I have spent a few years making into my own ride.
Any opinions on whether upgrading to a 6 speed transmission is worth the cost.

Still have the stock 88 with no performance upgrades. I am old enough to aprreciate scenery at 60 mph.

Stick with the 5 speed and spend the money on gas.

 

Welcome to HDF from the UK. I agree with Dan,. There is nothing to be gained by adding a 6-speed if you don't feel the need. Mine is perfectly happy at 90mph!
