Default Shift levers keeps coming loose!

Anyone else here losing their heel shift lever? I'm on my third one. Put another one on before my trip to Laughlin-damn thing fell off somewhere along the way. I even used loctite on the bolt.

Are you referring to the actual lever or the shifter peg? If it's the lever, try wrapping a little bit of Teflon plumbers tape around the spline and then tighten it.

The lever itself. Thanks, but I don't think that plumbers tape will last very long.
I guess I can give it a try.

replace the shifter shaft , and the shifter at the same time .
sounds like the shaft is worn.
btw, don't buy a "cheaper one " they may be too soft.

Is the forward shifter arm tapped in far enough towards the primary case, even if it is out a bit, and even if the bolt goes through the arm, the outer arm my not be aligning exactly in spot to the shifter spline. This can cause a feeling of the bolt tightening properly but in reality it sits on the spline edge, vibration and use will move it loose and off it comes. Also locktite is great but use a nylon locking nut, locktite can crack loose from excessive vibration those nuts wont. This and these other suggestions should help .

Baker makes a nice cast stainless steel shift lever that has more clamping force. Just an option.
