have a 79 flh and it is making a loud knocking noise in the pclucht. I checked the compensating Sprocket and its tight. It sounds like it is coming from the clutch basket. The sound is not always there but it is loud. What should I be looking at for a fix. Im lost

 

Check that the clutch nut is tight, if it is then grab hold of the clutch and see what kind of movement you get out of it. The shovel clutchs are notorious for getting a wobble you may want to look into a Ram Jett clutch retainer.
