Default Tranny stuck?

I changed the head gaskets, put everything back together. took the tranny cover off to drain old fluid. Now, trying to adjust push rods, as I turn the rear wheel ( in 6th gear ) it freezes uo after less than a half turn and I cannot make it move. Also, it seems that the intake push rod on front cylinder is not moving when I rotate the wheel. All the rest od them do move. However, I cannot get a full rotation of the rear wheel. Any ideas whats up?

sounds to me like something in the engine is hitting something else and not allowing the engine to rotate a full revolution. I would check valve clearance and how everything in the valve train is moving. Push rod too tight?

You need to loosen all the pushrods and re read the procedure. You probably have a piston making contact with a valve.

The transmission is not stuck.

Default Of all the stupid things.....

First, I had put the plugs back in, so I thought I need to take them out, to rotate the engine....took them out and noticed something down in the plug hole....a chunk of tissue paper I had stuck in the plug hole when I painted the jugs. Couldnt pull it out with tweezers, so I took the head off again. Lo and behold! There was an entire shop rag in the cylinder! I had covered the cylinders when I had the heads off. Can't say it was entirely my fault, as there was two of us replacing the heads.....OK, I will take the blame.
Of all the stupid things...one for the idiot award, I suppose. Everything turns now, push rods work fine. I am happy that at least I found and fixed the problem. Please, dont flame me! LOL
