Default 98 road king clutch pack

Anyone remove the damper spring and the skinny friction plate and replace them with a steel plate and friction plate? A stock extra plate if you will? Would the clutch adjustment be any different?

I think the damper spring is needed. The bike should have one narrow friction disk a seat metal ring then a damper and on top the regular plates. My clutch pack is apart right now if you need something specific I can check for you. It's going back together tomorrow. I don't know for sure but I think you want to leave they in there.

Does the stock clutch pac have a specific height? The owners manual does not call one out...

I didn't have one specified either. Just a minimum thickness for each disk.
