I was going to purchase a easy boy clutch kit from Mid USA made by Burly. But is says it doesn't fit FXR models. Wondering why

The clutch cable on the FXR comes in under the end cover. The angle is wrong for the kit to work. Try an inner ramp supplied by CCI ~ $45. A Muller might work but ~ $170.

There are quite a few devices that do much the same job. Be aware, however, that the Evos have very little 'spare' travel on the clutch cable and you may find it difficult to adjust and operate the clutch properly if you fit one of those.

There are two alternatives in my experience with my 1990 Glide: 1. use a Diamondback clutch cable, as I was suprised how much smoother and lighter that made my clutch; 2. consider a AMP EZ-Pull. More expensive, but should give better results.
