Default 1998 RK Rear Wheel Spacers

I picked-up a used bike and one of the first things I always do before I ride one (no matter what the previous owner says), is to pull the wheels and re-pack the bearings.

I have reasons to believe the previous owner has mixed-up the spacers....maybe even one of the back spacers with one of the front. As opposed to writing a paragraph about how I know.....can anyone give me the dimensions (length) of all four wheel spacers (no speedo sending unit on front)on a 1998 RK? Likely the same on an earlier model and thru 1999. I need front and rear.

HELP!

After further head-scratching...I believe the front is okay, but there are three spacers on the rear. As you sit on the bike....2 on the left (sprocket) side and one on the right (brake side). I am thinking these are mixed-up. I think the right side spacer needs to be swapped with one of the left side spacers. Of course....all my manual says is to mark the spacers as you remove them and gives no measurements. That just about has to be the case. The rear wheel is definitely "shoved" over to the brake side. I guess if I can't come-up with the actual lengths....it's trial-n-error time again.

Take a look at one of the on-line parts websites, like this one. My reading suggests there are indeed three spacers, one identical each side, plus a third with a different part number on the pulley side. If all else fails, ask in the Evo or Twincam forums, as per your engine!

That piece of information in itself answers a question. If there is one "identical" short spacer on each side (as the PN and drawing indicate) and a long one on top of that on the pulley side....I just have to measure both of the short spacers to make sure they match. If they don't....I need to be finding out why.

Oh well....I had to yank the wheel anyway to check and re-pack the bearings.
