Recently bought a 2006 RK FLHR w/8K miles.
I just did the 10K fluid change and found the primary case needed more than a quart. Service manual says 07 & 08 get 45oz.
Is it possible I have a 07 or 08 case on my 06 RK?

How did you determine it was full? It only gets filled to where the oil just covers the bottom of the clutch pack. Don't overfill.

What Dog said, the 06 RK and 07 RK are two totally different animals. Neither the primary nor the transmission are interchangeable.

Thanks guys...

Bike leveled...oil not even close to clutch plates

Reason for original question:
- Drain plug not where Clymer Service Manual shows...it's a T30 plug on base of chrome case (not a nut on bottom of case)
- dealership handed me a "O" ring pack (orange gasket) but bike has the disc gasket (25416-99C)
- case needs more than a quart to bring it up to plates....needs 45oz.

I love this bike!
