Angry 6 speed trans leak

Disappointed with HD. 2011 FLHP, 15K miles, dealer serviced and leaking trans fluid. My 1985 evo never had any issues. Are there other 6 speed issues?

Luck of the draw; **** happens. Find the leak, fix it and ride on. There were some noise issues with the early six speeds but none sense. I still ride the old five speeds and they are bullet proof.

Where's the leak? Known to have the bolts back out of the exhaust bracket at the clutch release cover and leak tranny fluid.

Right.... there has never been a 5 speed transmission that leaked...

Obviously since you have a leaking 6 speed, they all must be junk.

I think you are getting hosed. I have repaired several leaking transmission although none were six speeds (the five speeds can leak too) and never had to pull the transmission to make the repair. Call me a cynic but something doesn't ring true with the dealers diagnosis. You need to ask some questions; I would start with the obvious.

1. Where is the leak coming from?
2. Why does the trans have to pulled to stop the leak?

There is no reason to remove the transmission from the motorcycle, unless the case is being replaced.

600 sounds about right to replace all seals and gaskets, if you are paying someone to do the job.

Leak is even on the top bolts. Right trans does not have to be completely pulled, just enough to replace all gaskets
