Ok so I have a 2013 softail classic that I lost the transmission in a couple weeks ago...my serviceing dealer keeps telling parts are being delayed because of Sturgis this doesn't sound right can anybody enlighten me why a motorcycle rally can effect my parts

 

Sounds like BS to me.

 

I'd be more pissed about the losing the transmission on a 2013. Any other dealers?

 

other dealers wanted to sell me that I needed a full service because I don't use them for my service work...so I took it to a dealer that was willing to look at it without selling me something

 

I have 26000 miles on the bike it is my daily driver

 

Have you ever noticed that a lot of motorcycle shops close because many of the people who work there travel to Sturgis, or Daytona Bike Week ?

Don`t you think it may be possible that a lot of folks who work for Harley actually ride motorcycles, and maybe a bunch of them take vacation time and ride to....

 

the dealer is telling me that Harley has all the parts at Sturgis and they aren't shipping it to them...update they got the parts now they want to put a new case in the mix here we go for another 2 week delay
