Hey Guys
I have a 02' 1200 Custom Sporty with 14,000 and just started having an issue with it. At start up it kind of grinds getting it into 1st. Other than that its nothing but smooth shifting, neutral may be easy to slip past once in awhile. The other night though I went out for a ride, hopped on the highway cruised through the cities downtown then got back on the road to head home. I got off the highway and I'm sitting at the light and it wouldnt shift into any gears. I was in 3rd though and struggled to get going, trying to down shift and even up. Was trying everything and nothing happen then all of a sudden it made a winding noise and finally started to slip into gear. Any ideas what it might be or what to look for?

When is the last time you adjusted the clutch?

 

I havent since I bought it a year ago and the original owner gave me all of the maintenance receipts of all the work done on it and none say anything about a clutch adjustment. I guess I can go ahead and try that then ya?
