Default Transmission question

I have an 07 road glide. On a ride last week, the bike started to feel funny. The bike did not sem like it was totally in first gear and felt like it would stall. Pushed the bike forward and away I went. I thought it would be a clutch basket adjustment, which I've had to do before. Not that.

Now I've done a complete fluid change on the primary and trans. No signs of metal in the fluids. The shifter has a strange feel. I feel the first three gears when shifting, but not 4-6. Should I be feeling the trans shift that high? I have not had the bike out on the road, only through the neighborhood, so I'm not getting into the higher gears.

Any thoughts? I wish I could describe this better. Am I just paranoid? I hope to give it a road test tomorrow.

Thanks

Not sure I'm understanding you correctly but maybe check your linkage at the foot shifter, the rod that goes from the foot shifter to the shift lever on the transmission and the shift lever itself.Make sure they are all free and not binding in any way. Also make sure that the shift lever on the transmission is not loose.
