Default Over flow vent hose leak...

1991 FLHTC Electra Glide Classic with the 1340 EVO is leaking from the tranny vent tube. This is the 1st I have noticed it. Would running hot cause this? I last tuned the carb the other day and had it idling for a while and throttling the carb a lot to set the accelerator pump. I noticed when i got done there was steam coming from the crank case breather and looked at the temp gauge and it said 250 degrees. So I shut her down to cool and walked away. 2 days later now and I drove it to work. On the way out of the garage I noticed the puddle that was under the motor on floor. Seemed at 1st to me coming from the primary cover but after cleaning it all up i noticed the U shaped vent tube was indeed wet at the end. I recently had a full service done as well changing all the fluids.

What fluid level should I check to make sure I have enough in there? I will continue to monitor from here and hope it was just blow by from overheating. Hope I didn't blow a seal. Thoughts?

Check the level of the transmission lube according to your owners manual.

The factory has changed the method over the years, some are checked on the jiffy stand, some are checked upright.

They are not all the same.
