Default Chippewa Boots

I recently purchased a pair of Chippewa 11" engineer boots (model 27863). They are the best riding boots i have ever worn. The leather was soft out of the box and took only a short time to break in. I love the steel toe which fits under the shifter (unless i heel shift). The boots have a lot of quality built into them for the price ($160). Plus they are 100% American made. Wondering if any one has tried them.

I wear the same boots and echo your praise for them. I use HD 98261-91V leather dressing on them, seems to work great for conditioning them.

I am getting ready to buy a new pair of ridding boots. Chippewa is the front leader for me. Did you buy your via internet or a local dealer? How was the fit compared to the size?

thanks
Tony

Bought a pair today at an outlet. It is interesting they have some made in USA and some made in China. Slight differences, but the USA ones running around $50 more. I now I'll get bashed, but I bought the China ones only because the fit the best.
