Default Worlds End State Park, PA Rt. 154

Recently took the RV(with Softail in tow) out to Worlds End State Park in central PA. Took a road trip one afternoon and rode west on rt. 154. I've been up and down the east coast and this was one of the best rides I have ever been on. Miles of uncrowded country mountain roads, freshly paved. Rode about 2 hrs west and took the same route back to Worlds End. I highly recommend it. When I was there they had detours set up because of construction and many turns to stay on 154 but signs the whole way, cant miss it. will try to post some pictures.

Worlda end is one of my favorite ridea but if you ever get the chance take a ride up 44 to pa grand canyon. Some towns are just throwbacks.

I camped up there as a kid and now I ride up there all the time. Like Superfly said, the towns up there can be throw backs, but in a good way. Lots of hidden places.

Go a little further west. The best riding in the state is almost anything west of 15, and north of 80. Lots of stuff to see too. You'd need a few days to do it all. Suggestions on routes & sights, if you want them.

Great Pics there Gypsy, Looks like great riding, been meaning to get to the PA Grand Canyon too Superfly..... Gotta find a nice little cabin on a lake or river to rent and stay for a few days and then just do some ridin. Great Inspiration and still a few nice weeks left with the change in season.
By the Way Gypsy........Neighbors here, Millstone Township (Jackson) here.

Hey, this is going a few months back but I would like to take you up on your route suggestions in PA. Itching to get back on my bike and as soon as the weather lets up I want to be ready. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

From NJ, I'd probably get to 80, and then 180 to Williamsport, and then 15 up to Mansfield & route 6 west. You can Google a few things, and map them out yourself --- PA Grand Canyon, Kinzua Bridge State Park, Kinzua Dam, Hyner View (watch hang gliding), village of Benezette PA (largest population of free-roaming elk, east of CO.) Not too far away, in central upstate NY, Letchworth State Park is very cool. Also Watkins Glen isn't far away at all. Any way you map out these things, it's a great ride getting there! The roads are almost all nice, and scenic in the northwest quarter of PA.

At the recommendation of Geezr Glidr, several years ago we made the trip to the PA Grand Canyon, Kinzua Bridgs and dam and several other locations. We were not disappointed. One thing that stuck in my mind was the number of people on the street in Wellsboro and at a very late hour. It was nearly 11:00PM and the streets were crowded. There's a icecream shop on the main drag that serves some dandy fine product.
