Riding the Dragon

The first time we rode the dragon, we rode over to Cherokee and then back over the mountains to Gatlinburg that afternoon/evening. We sat in traffic for about two hours it seemed. People would come by and tell us traffic was backed up for ten miles, etc. We would move up a quarter of a mile every fifteen minutes or so. We finally just started coasting our bikes downhill. We coasted for several miles.

Dragons
I have rode in 27 states and have never been able t o there. I plan on riding it in spring. Is there any places anyone can recommend to stop or go to while I'm there. I had a friend ride them and loved it. I just put a 120 r in my streetglide. So I want to put some miles on her then get her tuned. I'm from northern ohio so the ride down through Wv and Tn has been incredibly accross New river gorge on bridge day is cool. Well any ideas of places to stay or eat or a watering hole would be grateful. Thanks Brian
